The idea of AHA (Actually Honest Advice) started when the AV Rant Podcast hit 1000 episodes. The host and co-creator Tom Andry never anticipated so many episodes and only left three placeholders. As episode 1000 approached, Tom started thinking about the future of the podcast.
AV Rant had changed and evolved over the years. It started in 2007 as your typically “edgy” podcast that had a home theater theme. As the audience grew and changed, AV Rant transitioned from “ranting” about home theater to primarily answering listeners’ questions about their home theaters. It was time for a change.
Actually Honest Advice isn’t just a podcast about home theater anymore. We are transitioning into a podcast network where advice is provided to our listeners. Each episode will have a theme and will be clearly labeled. Yes, many (maybe most) episodes will focus on your home theater questions. But if you have other questions you’d like answered, we are your source.
AHA isn’t here to sell you anything. Our answers will be based in the best science and research we can find at the time of asking.
